GUAM – The U.S. Navy has awarded Fukunaga & Associates, Inc., based in Honolulu, Hawaii, a maximum $7.5 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineer services contract for work at various locations in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific area of responsibility.
The architect-engineering services will encompass civil/environmental projects with associated multi-discipline architect-engineering support services, according to a Defense Department announcement.
The contract provides for the preparation of technical reports, including conducting engineering investigations and concept studies; project engineering documentation; preliminary and final design plans and specifications; construction cost estimates; request for proposal contract documents; operations and maintenance manuals; record drawings; and post construction award services.
Work will be performed at various Navy and Marine Corps facilities and other government facilities within the NAVFAC Pacific AOR, including, but not limited to, Hawaii (60 percent), Guam (30 percent) and the Far East (10 percent). The term of contract is not to exceed 36 months, with an expected completion date of July 2014.
Nine proposals were received. The Fukunaga award is contract number N62742-11-D-0011.
Last July, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific awarded three A-E contracts totaling $30 million for work for Navy and Marine Corps facilities in the same area of responsibility to Hawaii firms Element Environmental LLC, Design Partners, Inc. and ControlPoint Surveying, Inc.
