Guam – The Air Force has issued two solicitations for price quotes on a total of 252,000 feet of red and blue CAT5e cable for Andersen AFB, Guam.

According to solicitation number F1C0CR1196A002, the Air Force is looking for 100 units of 1,000-foot red PVC CAT5e. They must be shielded 350-Mhz solid bulk cable, 24 AWG, 4-pair.

In solicitation number F1C0CR1196A001, the Air Force is requesting quotes for 152 units of 1,000-foot blue plenum CAT5e, shielded 350-Mhz solid bulk cable.

For both requests, the CAT5e cable “must be on wooden spools due to condensation and humidity that deteriorates the normal cardboard boxes that the CAT5e is sent in,” the Air Force said.

Interested vendors must respond by 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time on Aug 1. This is a 100 percent set aside for small business contractors.  All firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database @ www.ccr.gov in order to be considered for award.
