GUAM – An Australian group that specializes in developing technologies, goods and services for tropical economies is the ninth participant to join next week’s investment and trade mission to Guam.
TropLinks is a non-profit association of Australian universities, business consultants, companies, industry groups, and economic development organizations. Working jointly across professions and industries, the group develops tropics-specific innovations in the natural and built environment, agriculture, healthcare, education, tourism and lifestyle.
With Guam’s multi-billion Department of Defense-driven expansion underway, the group will bring a wide range of relevant expertise to the March 1-5 trade mission.
Austrade, which is hosting the Guam mission, has also announced that next week’s Australian Trade Display and Technical Seminars will be open to the public on Wednesday, March 2, starting at 1:30 p.m. and running all afternoon at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
The public event is an opportunity to also meet with these other trade delegates: Atlantic Civil Products, Austral Brick, Bluescope Lysaught, GHD Pty. Ltd., SKM (Sinclair Knight Mertz), Steelfab Water Solutions, Top End Pest Control and WSP Lincolne Scott.
As for TropLinks, it will be on hand to promote its primary mission: to help Australia become a major exporter of Tropical Expertise to warm-weather markets much like Australia’s coastal and rainforest communities. Tropical markets are a segment of the global economy expected to reach $40 trillion in 2025.
